On June 19, 2014, Huang Weifeng, the project technical representative of Runke, attended the Ocean Summit in Fuzhou. The Ocean Summit served as the main venue for this year's "618" Strait International Convention and Exhibition, which invited a large number of academicians and experts in the field of marine biomedicine to offer suggestions.
Fujian has developed a number of industrial clusters, notably represented by Xiamen Haicang Biomedical Port, Zhao'an Jindu Marine Biotechnology Industrial Park, Shishi Marine Biotechnology Park, among others. Within the province, there are 33 leading enterprises specializing in marine medicine and biological products, characterized by their high technological content and strong independent innovation capabilities. These enterprises include Xiamen Blue Bay, Xiamen Jindawei, Sinopharm, Shishi Huabao, Runke, and Fujian Lvxin. For those of us who have established ourselves in the Jindu Marine Biotechnology Industrial Park, the annual Strait Project Achievement Trading Fair serves as an essential platform for upgrading the technological capabilities of enterprises and bolstering their market competitiveness. The "blue benefits" derived from the ocean economy are evident in project collaborations, docking, and successful implementation.
Runke emphasizes the promotion of advanced scientific and technological achievements and the dissemination of technological requirements in the marine high-tech industry. In recent years, the company has repeatedly leveraged the "618" platform to foster technological innovation and collaborations on high-tech projects, successfully transforming existing invention patent technologies into tangible productivity. According to Huang Weifeng, the "20 tons/day DHA Microbial Oil Continuous Extraction Industrialization Project," which was initiated in 2013, is projected to generate nearly 100 million yuan in new annual output value for the enterprise. Currently, domestic DHA microalgae production relies solely on small-scale, intermittent processes, which suffer from drawbacks such as slow extraction rates, high energy consumption, and elevated costs. Our technology project aims to address these issues and enable large-scale industrial production of DHA microalgae extraction. Upon completion, Runke will be the only company in China capable of continuously extracting DHA microalgae on an industrial scale.
