At the end of November 2016, the acceptance team of the national science and technology sea revitalization industry demonstration base, composed of experts from various scientific research institutions and relevant departments including the National Marine Environmental Monitoring Center, the National Marine Information Center, the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Ocean University of China, unanimously approved the acceptance of Jindu Marine Biological Industrial Park. The park successfully passed the inspection and evaluation, earning an "excellent" rating.
On December 13, 2016, the State Oceanic Administration held the National Marine Science and Technology Innovation Conference in Beijing. During the conference, a ceremony was held to award the status of National Demonstration Base for Science and Technology to Promote the Development of the Sea. Twelve bases, including Xiamen and Zhao'an in our province, became the first batch of National Demonstration Bases for Science and Technology to Promote the Development of the Sea.
In July 2008, the company established Runke Bioengineering (Fujian) Co., Ltd. and invested in the construction of a large-scale biotechnology industrial park, settling in Jinxing Township, Zhao'an County, Zhangzhou City. "Runke," this beautiful "bride" from the affluent city of Shantou in Guangdong, settled in the remote Zhao'an Bay in Fujian, and "married" the "groom" - the Zhao'an Jindu Marine Biotechnology Industrial Park. "This is a fantastic beginning," commented Huang Shaohong, the director of the park management committee, on the flourishing results of this cross-provincial "union." Zhao'an County is located on the border of Fujian and Guangdong, and it receives radiation from the two economic zones of Shantou and Xiamen, giving the development of the marine biology industry many advantages. The establishment of Runke has brought inspiration and momentum to the development of the marine biology industry in Zhao'an.
In July 2009, , led by Runke, Zhao'an integrated the relatively underdeveloped industrial parks of Jinxing and Sidu, two coastal towns adjacent to Zhao'an Bay, naming the area "Jindu." The planned construction of the Jindu Marine Biotechnology Industrial Park focused on developing five areas: marine biological products, marine biopharmaceutical materials, marine biological breeding and healthy aquaculture, the marine biological service industry, and the marine biological comprehensive supporting industry. At the end of December 2012, the State Oceanic Administration recognized the Zhao'an Jindu Marine Biotechnology Industrial Park as a "National Demonstration Base for Science and Technology to Develop the Marine Industry" and also as a "Marine Biotechnology Industry Technology Transfer Demonstration Base" within the "Blue Spark Plan" of the Ministry of Education's Science and Technology Development Center.
For a long time, Runke has focused on enhancing the innovation and industrialization capabilities in marine biotechnology, setting a benchmark for Jindu Industrial Park, leading by example, fostering mutual assistance, and growing together!
